Objective
Algebra is a important building block for developing a deep understanding in mathematics. Early stages of mathematics only required students to compute simple computations. Progressing through the course, students will gain a deeper understanding numbers and its relationship with other operations. Students need to develop a high level of proficiency in order to find academic success in succeeding math courses. Algebra serves as a stepping stone and opens the door to many branches of mathematics. As students continue through their mathematical journey, they will see that algebra never goes away. The skills they have acquired at a young age will always be present. It is important to continuously use and develop skills found in algebra. Maturity over course material will help students piece together their mathematical knowledge and apply it to real-world applications. Once students find the link between mathematics and the real-world, they will begin to appreciate the learning intensive course.
